Sammy Walker Called Up From Iowa Wild

Minnesota High School Hockey players have continued to rise through the ranks and into the NHL. Sammy Walker is the latest addition to the Minnesota Wild. Looking at his skills in the first few games, he will definitely be a part of this team. But highly likely it is an on-off relationship for his rookie season.

Walker lit up the lamps in the AHL all season with the Iowa Wild, even standing on top of the AHL first-year scoring chart on the day of his call-up. Walker also was a stud with the Minnesota Golden Gophers throughout his college career.

The Minnesota Wild have seen an influx of new faces this season, and young faces. As crazy as it sounds, Walker is one of the older callups at age 25. Believe it or not, he is the same age as Kirill Kaprizov and 4 years older than Matt Boldy.
