GM and Head Coach Mike Garman is excited for a new season with different challenges, one that will require an all-hands-on deck mentality and a group willing to play as a unit. As the Steel turn the page that means it’s time to take those headshots and get ready for the home opener in Geneva. We go behind the scenes with a few Steel players who don’t mind the bright lights of media day, and watch an entire community come out to support the Steel as they square off against Muskegon at Fox Valley Ice Arena.
Minnesota's future is still bright, with a star shining up from Iowa. In 2021, the Minnesota Wild selected Jesper Wallstedt in the first round as the 20th overall pick; some projections even had him going first overall in the draft. He is a name everyone who is an NHL Fan should get used to hearing. At only 20 years old, he is well on his way to becoming the next star in the NHL.
