Joey Gallo Might Set MN Twins Records!

Yes, you read that correctly, Joey Gallo could etch his name in the Minnesota Twins record books. He could set the franchise record for Homeruns in a season (49 HR by Harmon Killebrew in 1964 and 1969), but he is also more likely to set the record for strikeouts in a season (183 K’s by Miguel Sano in 2021). Joey Gallo has hit 40 home runs multiple times in his career, but also has multiple seasons with 200+ K’s.

The biggest unknown in the MLB this season is how some players’ numbers will change with the ban of the shift in baseball. Gallo is one of the biggest question marks, with the shift undoubtedly impacting his numbers since the start of his career. As you can see in the video below, the shift is massive against Gallo, and he has even been known to try and lay down a bunt to beat it. But now, many believe it could raise his average by 30-50 points just because of the ban.

Only time will tell, if the Twins $11 Million gamble will work out or if he will be the new Miguel Sano of the team, and all Minnesota Fans will only talk about his strike-out rates. But Hey, better a strikeout than a double play.
